These tire traction chains are intended to provide additional grip on snow- or ice-covered roads. The pictured design features metal chains across the tire tread, secured with straps and buckles around the wheel.

1. Check compatibility. Consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual and the product’s fitment chart. Some vehicles restrict the use of tire chains.
2. Practice before traveling. Test the fit in a safe location before you need the chains in winter conditions.
3. Park safely. Stop on firm, level ground away from traffic, apply the parking brake, and turn off the engine.
4. Follow the supplied installation instructions. Position and secure each chain assembly exactly as the manufacturer specifies. The photograph alone cannot establish the correct strap routing or number of assemblies per tire.
5. Check the fit. Chains and straps must not contact brake components, suspension, or bodywork. Secure loose ends as directed.
6. Drive cautiously. Follow the product’s speed limit and any lower vehicle limit. Avoid sudden acceleration, braking, and sharp turns. Recheck the fit at the interval specified in the instructions.
7. Remove and store. Remove chains when roads are clear. Clean them, dry thoroughly, and inspect for damage before storage.
